The International Workshop on M2M Technology 2012 will be held from Oct.24-25 by Intel-NTU Connected Context Computing Center (Intel-NTU Center) to build a vision that defines the future M2M technologies.

Recently, M2M (machine-to-machine) or IOT (internet of things) has attracted considerable attention because it is generally believed that the development of this technology will impact the world tremendously in every aspect such as energy saving, intelligent transportation, healthcare, food production, environment monitoring, anti-terrorism, smart living space, etc.
Therefore Intel-NTU Connected Context Computing Center (Intel-NTU Center) sets up a platform, the International Workshop on M2M Technology, to bring together key researchers from all over the world to build a vision that shapes future M2M technologies. Keynote speakers include people from industries (Intel and GM), and universities (UC Berkeley, University of Porto, University of British Columbia, University of Pittsburgh, Politecnico di Milano, UL Lafayette, Keio University, Nagoya University, and University of Washington) covering technical topics in areas of intelligent transportation, energy saving, environment monitoring and mobile healthcare.
