The 14th North-East Asia Symposium on Nano, Information Technology and Reliability (NASNIT 2009) 即將於98年5月15日上午於國立交通大學浩然圖書館國際會議廳舉行，由IEEE Taipei Section、IEEE Tainan Section及韓國IEEE Seoul Section(Hanyang University)等共同舉辦，截稿日期延至98年5月5日，歡迎各位學生踴躍投稿，共襄盛舉。

NASNIT 2009 at NCTU, Taiwan

The 14th North-East Asia Symposium on Nano, Information Technology and Reliability (NASNIT 2009) provided scientists and researchers from Asia with opportunity to present and discuss their research investigations, was held on 15th May at International Conference Room, National Chiao Tung University, Taiwan. The goal of the symposium is to promote a mutual understanding and expansion of new knowledge in NT, IT & Reliability and to provide a dynamic forum for relevant information exchanges in Asia.

NASNIT 2009 is organized by IEEE Taipei Section and co-organized by IEEE Seoul Section, and IEEE Tainan Section. The conference was hosted by IEEE Taipei Section Chair, Prof. Chin-Teng Lin. IEEE Seoul Section Chair, Prof. KD Kwack and IEEE Tainan Section Chair, Prof. Jhing-Fa Wang served as the Co-Chairs. Total 60 papers were accepted, including Taiwan(9), Korea(29), Japan(1), India(8), China(6), Ukraine(6) and USA(1). All the collected papers were published as a symposium proceeding. There are two conference rooms served, one for electronics area and the other for computer area. Each paper presentation was done in oral(10 minutes) by 20 students. In the symposium, 20 papers were arranged to be shown as poster sessions.
 
The number of attendees reached 60, including 11 professors and 49 students, who came from Korea, Japan and Taiwan. At the same time, we invited IEEE Fellow, Prof. Han-Ping D. Shieh to have a talk at the opening ceremony. NASNIT 2009 was a good opportunity for outstanding graduate students in Asia to come together to discuss their work in the most advanced area. At the same time, this conference was a stepping stone for the initiation of much collaboration between young researchers.
