Bayesian Knowledge Fusion of Multiple Conflicting Sources |
Prof. In the event, the Taichung Chapter, IEEE SMCS, invited Prof. Eugene Santos Jr.from the Thayer school of engineering at DARTMOUTH College. He is holding a post an editor-in-chief of IEEE Transactions on Systems, Man, and Cybernetics: Part B. He has also served on Associate Editor of International Journal of Image and Graphics, Journal of Intelligent Information Systems editorial board, Journal of Experimental and Theoretical Artificial Intelligence editorial board and Communications of SIWN editorial advisory board now.On the basis of Prof. Eugene Santos’s expertise and research results, Prof. Eugene Santos gave a very interesting and inspring talk on “Bayesian Knowledge Fusion of Multiple Conflicting Sources ". Many IEEE SMCS members and student members wereimpressed with his concise and wonderful presentations and his novel and outstanding research results. Overall, all attended scholars and students gave enthusiastic responses to Prof. Eugene Santos’s talk. In addition, Prof. Eugene Santos*s visit and academic exchange at Taichung Chapter, IEEE SMCS, let members and students to learn more about intelligent control, and has made substantial benefits. The event was held by a disquisition, and by focusing on exchange of research experience. The enthusiastic responses from all participants indicate that this activity not only has reached its predicted goals, but also has assisted many IEEE SMCS members and student members to gain knowledge about cybernetics and its applications to many engineering fields, including intelligent control, desion making, and sensor fusion. |
